2026 Events
Dear Reader
My intentions for 2026 were to have at least a dozen events lined up. But Life got in the way. Potential venues were either too expensive or too far away. To be honest, just the thought of packing the car, traveling, setting up the tent, canopy, tables, books, and swag was a bit overwhelming. Not to mention a dozen other excuses I won't bother to go into.
With my 'under bed' inventory depleted, I have come to accept that it's time to hang up the proverbial tent and folding table. It's time to box up the remaining swag.
It was a good run.
I sincerely thank those of you who supported me by purchasing my books (all of which are available through Amazon or through this website). I am enjoying taking the lead with a writing group in the apartment building where I live. And, I continue to work on my one-act plays, although it is with a bit less gusto than in the past. My monthly posts continue to receive positive reviews, so I'm not ready to stop those yet!
I hope to head the playwriting workshop again this fall through the local Senior Center Academy* -- scroll down to read about the 2025 "Let's Write a One-Act Play Workshop." This year's program will extend to six weeks with two-hour sessions each week.
With calendars open, this year my wife and I enjoyed some awesome trips -- and we're not finished yet! Realizing that there are more years behind us than in front, we are taking advantage of our good health and the freedom from home maintenance that apartment dwelling affords.
